Mild

The whole squad, all eighteen of them, were gathered in the changing room, getting ready for their big night. It was 11:35 and in less than half an hour they would be the ones to initiate the celebrations for Midnight Madness, the first official day (night, to be precise) of the basketball season. They were already listening to the accumulating crowd, stamping feet, noisy chats and the occasional cheer, overpowering the uplifting music that was already making the whole building vibrate slightly.

- This is the prize; - A woman with double chin opened a suitcase and showed the packs of currency inside. Then she put it on the bar stand, and carefully closed both locks. – The winners will divide those between them. I love inflation movies! The public loves inflation movies. I know your kind, so if the feed is cut off - no prize for anyone. See you in 100 minutes. – She lifted the suitcase, turned and walked out, there was a sound of a car driving away. The two guards stayed though.

It was a friday morning, and Ayame quickly wakes up due to a rustling noise coming from her side. Inuyasha heard none of it, and stayed asleep. Ayame walks to a line of bushes from outside the house they were sleeping in, and finds nothing. "what the...," Ayame questioned, keeping her cool. "It must have been the wind..". The noise comes back again, and this time, it was louder. Ayame slowly starts to get nervous, thinking it might be an old foe. 

Ariel laid limp in the lifeguard’s arms as he emerged from the waves and laid her down on the sand. She wasn’t moving.

“This is Chuck, reporting in,” the lifeguard said. “I’ve rescued the subject. Checking vital signs.”

Carmen looked on, rolling her eyes and shaking her head. Chuck leaned over Ariel to listen for signs of breathing, and her eyes opened. She kissed him on the cheek.

“Thanks, Chuck,” she said. “A pleasure, as always.”
