Is Weight Gain more popular than Inflation?

Is weight gain more popular? Also, are there many people out there who like both? I personally only like inflation.

I wouldn't say so, inflation definitely beats weight gain in popularity but of course there's people who like both, lots of people on this site like both. I'm not so keen though, I'm like you in preferring inflation but I do think of it sometimes. Body fat just doesn't appeal to me and I think more people prefer the "pregnant" look over the chubbiness. I've been over to FantasyFeeder though and they do have some pretty good stuff to offer, like discussions, art, etc. but not as wide (pardon the pun) as we have it over here at BodyInflation.org and other inflation sites. I have to admit though, I do like stuffing and bloating that result in little overhang - only temporary - bellies, but nothing comparable to piling on huge amounts of weight in a short time.

Actually, come to think of it, we are pretty outnumbered. Sorry, my brain just automatically compared BodyInflation.org with FantasyFeeder. I forgot about all the BBW stuff out there and obviously the fact that weight gain is obviously possible but I think we win in terms of community and artwork, probably due to the fact that inflating to enormous sizes is pretty much near impossible.

Forget everything I said above, weight gain is undefeatably more popular.

Weight gain is way more popular, and it's not even close.  It's primarily a much more realistic sexual kink, as many, many people find heavier much more attractive.  Tons of hetero men like women with bigger boobs, bigger stomachs, and bigger butts, and often that comes from a partner gaining a bit of weight.  It's much more accepted in the mainstream now to be proud about being a heavier person or to admit to finding a heavier person way more attractive, man, woman, gay, or straight.

If you're thinking of weight gain on a massive scale, like someone getting so big they become immobile or growing into a shape that resembles a huge blob of fat, then sure. . . it might or might not be as popular as air/helium inflation, hard to say.  That is because like inflation it is a very specific kink rooted in a more unrealistic fantasy scenario.

But if you were to ask a random person, "Which is more common, weight gain or inflation?"  People would easily say weight gain (and not in the unrealistic sense above) and not think too much of it, and when they ask about inflation, finding out it means fantasizing about somebody inflating up with air/helium like human blow-up doll/parade blimp/hot air balloon, they would immediately think it's really weird.  Because, it is.  :)

I think on a scientific note and based on how common things are, weight gain trumps inflation for a couple of reasons.

  1. Weight gain naturally was a natural advantage. If someone was more fat back in more....natural times, it was a sign that they would be better suited for survival as the fat not only gave them a food source if there was a famine, but also kept them more warm. Inflation doesn't really have a survival benefit to it.
  2. Weight gain can happen to anyone, without even having to do anything. Inflation on the other hand has to be seen or self discovered, and is not nearly as socially common as....what's the scientific word? Basically fat people.
  3. Adding on to #2, inflation isn't nearly as common, or as accepted. You don't usually hear or see people that are inflated in public or in most media, so many people still don't really know about it or are ashamed to admit they have it and ty to hide it.

I think that even if inflation was as common in society as overweight people, the whole gainer thing would still be more popular as there is that ancient survival adaptation for it.

Which world - real or imaginary - is the question about?
In the real world - I totally agree with all people here.
In imaginary world -
let's imagine some unreal place where inflation serves some biological reason and is a natural advantage from more natural times ^_^ to the imaginary folks.
Still, if we imagine them inflate - we only imagine some particular characters inflate, not everyone, right?
And only a portion of them is "into inflation" in a sexual sense.
^_^
So, I'm afraid, in imaginary inflationary universe weight gain is more popular than inflation as well - both as a habit, and as a fetish.
^_^ just a private opinion ^_^

First post on the forms, so hi!!

Anyway, not judging, but just not sure how weight gain would be more popular. Just something about turning someone into an unhealthy flab ball turns me off haha. Oh well, I suppose people would think something for body inflation too. To each their own I guess! :)
