I always had a thing about that too, the whole vertical growth deal. i enjoy my fantasy of women blowing up like balloons, but for some reason the logistics of that particular type of growth just seem absurd to me. Like, is the skeleton stretching with the skin as well?
I dislike the 2005 CATCF version because i can't suspend disbelief about vertical expansion. It seems to me that people's heights are fixed over the short term by the rigidity of their skeletons, so you really can't have someone blowing up by increasing in height. The 1971 version is better because it doesn't do that and because it's entirely non-CGI, meaning that what you see on screen actually happened, and to me that's important.
To be honest, i'm very fussy about these things and i'm not sure i've seen anything i really like. I am probably keenest on the 'Scream Bloody Murder' inflation because she makes "mpf" noises and there are close ups of her expression, but she doesn't get very big of course. Really i think amateur video clips do it better because people know what to aim for.
