You know, I don't think I've been thinking about these people as people, Bambi, 123, even Junk. I've been thinking of these people as the "Icons" they've become.

Like thinking of the Ford Motor Corporation, instead of Henry Ford.

So, my opinion?

123/Blaze: Looks like a difference of perspectives on the same situation. Not my fight, I won't form an opinion or take a side. I also retract any opinions I previously expressed.

Bambi's sites: Great sfx. Could use a larger stable of actors, or multiple production teams, for speed and efficiency.

Taylor: Reminds me of early Bambi, but with more actresses. Give them some time with practice and they could be great. I suppose the XBOX to Bambi's Older, more refined PS2. Can't wait for next gen.

Junk in the trunk: Coin flip. Heads: inflammatory and unhelpful. Tails: inflammatory and helpful.

E.D. Is funny from time to time, but mean all the time.

--P.S.

Bambi; that new blond 'do caught me off guard. Any reason?

Call me a punk, but you gotta admire the irony. Here bambi gets flack for throwing down the mod hammer on EM (not taking sides on the bambiblaze.com issue, thanks!), and then it has to happen in the thread that (inadvertently) started discussing it.

Anarchy sounds lovely, but it's definitely earned its place in the ranks of adolescent idealism for a reason.

Truth be told, I like these guys. They're entertaining once you learn how to wind 'em up. What would the circus be without the clowns?

At this point, I think the first crew with an after-effects tech wins. Digital post-production is the next step IMO. Then again, I have been staring at a computer screen for 12 hours a day. Buyer beware.

P.S. The new girl is hot. Do you play duets? :D

Just to clarify, in case anyone out there might misinterpret my post, it was my intention to try to point out what I liked and disliked about all the sites I mentioned. I did speculate about what goes on behind the scenes at some of the sites, but in all honesty I really don't know. Only the owners of the sites can tell you their motivations or what they have to go through to run the site and produce content. Coming from anyone else it's just conjecture and opinion and should be taken with a grain of salt.

The fairest assessment anyone can give is to ask yourself if the sites meet your own needs, and only each individual customer can answer that question. For all sites, just take a look at the previews and if you like what you see, give it a try. I've made purchases or been a member of all the sites I mentioned, and I didn't join just for the heck of it--obviously I saw something I liked enough to make me want to subscribe or buy a video--even on the sites that I don't like as much as others. They all have something worth buying.

P.S. fwoomp, I was studying for an insurance exam, which fortunately turned out to be easy as pie. :)

I'd like to chime in briefly and hopefully the drama will not increase as a result. As Bambi said, she and Dr Curvy and I have discussed this privately and each side sees it differently. But we each said our part and I'm glad we at least had a discussion.

BambiBlaze wrote:
Regarding Inflate123: he was banned because he LINKED - let me say it again - LINKED his blog to the EM and our pay sites...At the time we did not realize he had the blog linked to our sites, when this came to our attention is when the ban took place, and this was a staff decision comprised of 10 people or so.

If the issue is that I linked FROM my blog TO your website, this is common practice for me. I also link to YouTube clips, DeviantArt stories, and product websites. When I talk about or refer to sites or people in the community, I link to them within the posts, so that the readers can go see the subject matter for themselves. But it clearly made you uncomfortable, so out of respect, I will not link to your website from my blog in the future.

BambiBlaze wrote:
However, we're not going to stand idly by while someone is using our platform to tear us down while trying to build up the new people.

If the problem was that I linked TO my blog FROM your forums in my signature file, and you felt that my posts were unfair or destructive, then I think simply editing (or asking me to edit) my sig would have been a more rational course of action. And frankly, I'm stunned to hear that 10 people agreed that banning my IP and cancelling my subscriptions without notice was better than editing my sig (or asking me to edit it). As we've said, I have a different perspective on the situation.

Also, one of the reasons I got upset at the time was that I got no direct communication after this happened. When I contacted CCBill to ask why my subscription was terminated, they told me to contact the webmaster, who did not reply. As a customer as well as a community member, I didn't know what to make of that. And even now that we're talking again, it's because I wrote to Dr Curvy and said "It's been two months, can we discuss this, even if we disagree?" Getting an answer to that took two more weeks. What I perceived as a dramatic overreaction to my opinions became a secondary problem -- it was the total lack of civil communication that actually bothered me the most. I'm glad we're beyond it. Maybe it was one of those things that just takes time.

BambiBlaze wrote:
Personally, I'm glad there's someone new trying their hand at our fetish. I think it's good for the community and more content needs to be made available.
BambiBlaze wrote:
People may tend to look at our stuff and critique it, but keep in mind "it's not easy & it's not cheap"

This is exactly what I said in the March blog post that got be banned. I have not edited a word, so I guess perspectives have changed. But I'm glad we finally agree.

To answer the topic question: "Is Bambi's site worth the money?" If you want to experience what she's offering, then yes -- pay whoever makes the stuff that makes you happy. I agree with Wren that you should check out the free samples and preview material from any pay site and choose accordingly. It comes down to content.

Onward!

BambiBlaze
BambiBlaze's picture

I'm glad that we've moved forward. A few months ago I misinterpreted Inflate123's "intent" of his blog. The issue wasn't so much what he'd written in it, but I misjudged his motivation for writing it and I want the community to know that I've apologized to him for this. And, I'm sorry to everyone for the conflicts that it caused.

Sometimes when communicating online it's so easy to 'read between the lines' and take something said the wrong way. The communication is typically not the same as being person-to-person, and things can go sideways fast if we're not careful. I'm going to try on my end to be more careful about this.

Some things have happened online over the past few years that have caused me to keep my guard up, and the last thing I want these experiences to lead to is paranoia on my part. I sincerely love this community, and many of you I have come to know on a personal level who have become great friends, I've been very grateful for this and for having the opportunity to explore my fetish with a wonderful group of people.

I'm glad too and I appreciate your willingness to talk to me about it all. I really dislike being at odds with people and I will freely admit that this whole thing stuck in my craw way way longer than I thought it would, let alone longer than I ever thought it would.

I didn't know what you were basing your reaction on and I understand it a lot better now that we've talked. I'll do my part not to assume the worst as well.

Bob_King

Now let's have a group hug

I've not been a member of any of Bambi's pay sites, but I do drop by her forums from time to time. My opinion is that from what I've seen you're not getting Citizen Kane (Citizen Bambi?) when you download a movie.

But what do people expect? Bambi's breaking new ground with what she's doing, and at least she's doing it. I'm sure she could make more money by catering to a far more popular fetish than ours, but she's still slogging away with BE.

One day I'll get around to signing up for her stuff, and I've come close a couple of times, if only to listen to her Southern drawl :)

Will I keep the subscription? Haven't decided yet, I have plenty of time to choose.

uhcm looks around in the forum for something interesting while drinking Diet Pepsi and comes across this. He looks at the two pictures set up by BambiBlaze and makes a comedic look of shock. He suddenly fell to the right off the chair and the members hear a loud crash like someone's head hit the door, followed by an unavoidable thud of the carpet floor. The only things uhcm could say, "Damn! I spilled my frickin Diet Pepsi! But still, those are good shots though. Oh! There are still some left!" uhcm drinks the last drops of his Diet Pepsi.

Here's something to keep in mind and something I learned the hard way; you have to manually cancel your account, otherwise they'll just keep charging you.

I paid for a month's subscription, figuring it would automatically expire if I didn't renew. Well, they automatically charged me for another month.

ritties

In Bambi's defense, any time I have signed up to Bambi's site(s), it was made quite clear that the membership is a recurrent billing situation. They have always been straight up with that and when I have had to cancel my membership (for various reasons), they were always prompt to do so and always gave you your full months worth.

Ritties

Actually, I'd say it really is worth it. No one else does quite what she does, live action inflation of a woman, at least not as well.

Just pay the subscription once, download all the videos, then cancel the subscription. They only come out with a vid every month or so; maintaining a membership is not worth it.

When you sign up, SAVE ALL DOCUMENTATION. I did this, becuase I had a feeling they would try to stop one-monthers like myself. Confirmation codes must be saved.

Still, tottaly worth it, she gets huge. Her recent and full work is much better then what is shown in the previews.

I double-checked that when I was considering challenging the payment and I saw nothing suggesting that.

It says "recurring" right there at the top of the Join page. Is this your first adult website? ALL adult websites have recurring billing. If you see a site that offers the choice of non-recurring for a higher price than recurring, never choose the non-recurring--just choose the recurring and then cancel before they rebill you. It's cheaper that way.

It's a vintage dress that I picked up in an antique shop here in the mountains where I live, but I'm not sure if it was a wedding dress. I thought it was just too pretty & BIG to pass up for an inflation scene. ;) It was destroyed though by the end of the movie. :P

Julie Basket and the Big Wedding and future Julie Basket stories will be in Writer's Den; you can't miss it because the title of the story is also the title of the thread.

Situation is... unusual but at least it stays out of the crowd as an erotic story.

Bambi I think your videos are very sexy :D Sadly i cant subscribe because of the 20 dollars a month i stumble across random videos of yours here and there and i just wanted to say that i loved them and to keep up the good work

Bandura

My curiosity is that when I was signed up that new videos only showed up one month later. It seemed like a very strange thing, I know everyone is busy and have a RL. Why one month?

Dude whoever is paying for this nonsense is getting scammed so damn much it isn't even funny. She disappears conveniently enough and stops making clips because of "real life dilemmas". Now, I'm not gonna try to call her out with that but from what I saw, she hasn't even been on her forums. You're paying to see morphs from people who used to do it for free and a lot on deviantart or on here are probably better. No offense to them, but that isn't worth the cash. Plus don't you still have to pay for her vids on top of all that? Idk man I'm calling bs on her

doubleintegral
doubleintegral's picture

I don't fault her for starting the member's section (she likely had no choice, as EM was likely a money-losing venture anyway), nor do I fault any contributors for trying to make money on their content. But from the outside looking in, I don't see how EM is making any money, or maintaining any credibility, when their flagship product (for all intents and purposes) takes extended unannounced sabbaticals from the site. Worse yet, inquiries are usually met with non-answers or locked threads. Not to discount any real life things Bambi may indeed have to take care of, but the constant absences and lack of answers are a disservice to paying and non-paying members.

The direction that entire site has taken since the member's area launch is disappointing to me. Oh well.

NJinflation90

Ok that's definitely a more fair way to word it lol I know how rough real life can be but you are right this is crazy. Well at least we have here =)

lillyjade

My advice? If you want the content, throw together a little bit of content. There's something on the site somewhere that says that providing content (story, pics, videos, etc) can be bartered for membership. I gave them ten morphed pics, I got a month free at EM and both of Bambi's sites. To be honest, I much wish certain other sites *coughcoughbearchivecoughcough* would have the same kind of benefit. Couple hours bored twiddling in GIMP = free porn. This is why I still wonder why people find so much fault with Bambi's venture ... sure the whole "it's now a pay site" thing is annoying, but this is one case where fine print is a benefit.

kidquetzal

Recurring is not a problem, the problem is where multiple cancellations were requested and ended up paying for an extra month or two despite this. Fuck Bambi.

What he said.

I can recall reading all of the horror stories where people made several requests to cancel their accounts, only to be ignored until they threatened Bambi with legal action, which changed their tune real fast.

Not to mention I don't think she has updated her video sites at all in 2-3 years now, and yet she just pretends to have a life and ignores/ban's paying members who inquire about the site's lack of content. Fucking pathetic >>

carnatic

I think, with my business hat on, it's rather stupid that given there hasn't been any new content in years, they still operate on the monthly subscription model. Is anyone still a subscriber there? They must be making no money at all by now.

If I were them I would switch to a one-off fee per video (like Taylor), or a special deal to get access to all currently released videos.

Of course perhaps there are still so many mugs... I mean, people paying monthly subscriptions that it makes good economic sense for them to still be doing this. In which case I would advise anyone who is still paying out every month for no new content to for goodness sake, cancel your subscription.

NOTE: If they don't respond to your request to cancel you can always do it yourself. Just ring your bank and ask to cancel that direct debit or standing order.

kidquetzal

Even though I eventually did that, I recall having to close the entire account, which sucked. I really shouldn't have had to go that far at all.

Why doesn't Taylor do the subscription model for her videos. She pumps them out regularly enough to do so, right?

-Just another weirdo

carnatic

Well people have different tastes. I occasionally pay for a download there, but I pick and choose, not everything she does is to my taste, and I only spend what I can afford in any given month.

I'm guessing most other people feel the same way, they don't want to pay a blanket fee to access everything because not everything appeals to them.

Ultimately it's a demand-driven market, if there was sufficient demand for monthly subscriptions I'm sure she would offer them.

srflour

It would be well worth signing up for a while to get some of the later clips especially. There's quite a few of them and you might like some of the earlier ones as well. The props got bigger and better and the clips generally improved a lot in most respects.

Take note of some of the steps taken as described in this thread in order to cancel your subscription at a time of your choosing, then get the ones that you want.

Piracy. We lose a lot of customers who don't like to buy individual clips but offering a lot of clips for a monthly price means some people will join, download everything, cancel the subscription(and sometimes charging it back!) and then post it all on a forum somewhere.

Piracy has never been worse then it is right now. Sharing forums are making far more money then any producers by offering everyone's content at a very, very low price or for free while they get ad revenue on the traffic they bring in.
