I recently saw, on Canadian tv cable, a commercial for the restaurant chain Wendy's which made me smile. The story happens in a office work place, and during the lunch break, the employes fill themselves up with helium (instead of eating something) until they began to float to the ceilling.

I saw the commercial, though Im not sure if its different in Canada.
All you see is three people with their torsos expanded Gas-X style, floating in the ceiling, and the guy with a Wendy wig tells them they shouldnt fill up on anything, with a high pitched voice. No scene leading up to them floating.
I couldnt tell that much, but Im pretty sure none were female.

It's not just a Canadian commercial, I saw it here in Texas. In the commercial I saw, there were already two dudes on the ceiling, and another floats up there after taking a hit of helium. After the Wendy's guy shows up, one of the guys says something like, "Hey, what about me?"
And you are correct, there were no inflated females in the commercial. Although I think a couple were "in line" to receive such treatment, if I remember correctly. Although, perhaps there will be more commercials in the series.

I've seen the commercial, and it caught me off guard. I just started giggling to myself while my mom just looked at me weird. The one trapped on the ceiling were hopelessly wave their arms. It was every inflationist's dream lunch-break.
And ya, there were several in line for the helium fill-up. ^_^

Too bad I can't find any videos on the net (not being in the US I doubt I could find this ad... heck, we don't even have Wendy's over here, to my knowledge)... It doesn't sound fantastic, but I'm still curious.

The local Wendy's is pretty divey and shady, so I only use the drive-thru, they still have damn fine food though.
And by local I mean "Half-Hour away by car because the one that WAS local is now the world's funniest liquor store with a drive-through window".

Ok, I saw the commercial in HD during Monday Night Football last night, and I'm pretty sure there's an inflated girl on the ceiling. It's hard to tell though, since you never really get a clear glimpse of the face. It's not really anything special though.

I guess the idea is that you should fill yourself up with something worthwhile (i.e. Wendy's food) instead of nothing (i.e. competitors' food).

I'm still not sure, but seeing the commercial in hi-def made it look like there was a woman up there. But as I said, you couldn't see the face too well so it was hard to tell.

Yep. The line "Geez, we'll fill up on anything" sort of sums up the joke in the ad. I just spotted it on TV last week so it's still running.
