Jenna was always a depressed and angry girl.  She was an only child and she had to live with her parents who worked all day, but they still treated her like a baby.  "You be good, now," her mother sang as she left the house to her eighteen-year-old, who glared at the door.

It was in the span of approximately two weeks that Sebastian Lee learned that all was not as he believed it to be in his home city of West Ashley.  At first he learned that he was one in a wide-branched family tree of wizards, expressing surprise at the existence -of- magic, further surprise at the person telling this to him revealing that he was a ghost in the employ of a council of Fair Folk which secretly governed the affairs of the supernatural in the city, and even further shock that the preceding council of vampires was voted out due to a joint coalition of werewolves and nymphs.

Lana walked into her spellworking closet. She called it a closet but it was more like a warehouse. Along with her was her cousin, Nania, who was 28, only a year younger than Lana.

"What's that?" asked Nania picking up a green crystal and instantly turning into a turtle.

"Stop That! You're going to kill yourself!" She turned Nania back to normal with a wave of her hand. "A lot of this stuff will do weird things to you if you play around with them. Take for example this scarf."
