Upkeep and Renovations

I apologize, I've been something of an absentee landlord of late. Real life intrudes as it tends to do, and I've fallen far behind on fixing the various things in this site have broken down.

But I have made some progress recently.

At long last, I've finally tracked down and addressed the issues that site email has been having. So user registration is back online.

We'll see how long that lasts. User registration was also being plagued by spammers. It's a numbers game, and the anti-spam measures have to about 98% effective in order to prevent the site from being overrun.

The long-term solution requires upgrading the site software. Getting caught up on the Drupal version is actually quite daunting, but something I'll have to eventually. It's definitely one of those things that's best dealt with when I should rather than putting it off until I must.

But things will continue to improve in the near future.
