Ten years ago on this day, Rain's gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 9 debuted. This would also mark our first glimpse at his Bubble Burst fatality.

While it may seem paltry to recognize this milestone, I felt is was worth it. Given that there hasn't been an inflation fatality in Mortal Kombat for so long.

Considering Kitana didn't have her Kiss of Death in MK9, Rain pulled through at the eleventh hour. He was the last downloadable kombatant following Skarlet and Kenshi.

It all hinged on him, and it happened.

It truly was a good day.

I recently had this made. Free camera/ this fatality from multiple different angles on 3 different girls

also the last time inflation was in MK and the hopes of it ever coming back is officially dead. Kitana has a kiss brutality in mk11 with no inflation, rain has no such fatal or brutal for it, neither does anyone else. At least there’s mugen and someone like me to make inflation moves/fatals on it lol

There are people who waited 15 years for Tremor to be included on a roster. Unrelenting requests, petitions and the like. All from a small cult following, for a minor kharacter hailing from the most lambasted game in the Mortal Kombat franchise. Ultimately, he turned up for MKX.

It's true that the chances of an Inflatality appearing again aren't exactly that great. Despite that, I intend to advocate for one to be included in MK12. It's all I can do, and it's better than doing nothing.

Besides, Kuai Liang's new nickname, "Grandmaster Blueberry Ice", really tickled my heart. So maybe it's not entirely hopeless after all.

Also, are you familiar with a Gamecube emulator called Dolphin? It has a built in free camera mode that works with MK:DA, even when a Fatality is in motion!

I used it and posted screen shots of when I did (with reskinned characters) many years ago lol.

Getting the canera right during a fatal where the canera changed angles a few times was hard lol
