missi pyle maybe

there were 2 times she wear a fat suit for movie roles

and we all remember her as violet mom from Charlie and the chocolate factory

Berry-DukeAlt

Best of luck finding an answer. I did a simple google search, and all I could find was celebrities with foot fetishes.

Yrrall_Dlok1

With the latex and balloon play and the advert a few years ago, there's been speculation regarding Katy Perry

Pass_The_Printa

katy perry? nice.

TheVaughan

Ellen degeneres is an interesting one, especially how she acted with Jens inflated state.

Missi Pyle, maybe could be just the paycheck though? Fun to think it though!

Im sure, foot fetish was "in" once in hollywood everyone had it, haha

Katy perry would be a firm bet for me too, all that latex she wore in the past?

I was thinking celebs that have surgey for a bigger butt or chest might have an element of this fetish? No really a celebrity but sheila Hershey? More recent a swedish "model" natasha crown? Not really celebrities but they seem to have a desire to be bigger in both body and image i guess

doctorbo

Super-sized big boobs model definitely fall into similar territory. Sheyla Hershey clearly want to go as big as can and stay there, Lolo Ferrari basically turned herself into a living blow-up doll, and so he's Alegra Cole, who confessed she has "boob greed" and want to get bigger even she already look about to pop any second now!

I think so too, I like to think that the act of changing their bodies could fall within this fetish? Like if it was possible for them to get bigger using an air pump or tank, im pretty sure they would be right up for it

TheVaughan

I think this sums up that Cole might have this fetish...

This is a pet peeve of mine, but BE is not really body inflation.  Obviously there's no such thing as "too big" for implant queens like Allegra Cole, BEShine, Chelsea Charms, etc., and a few cam models I've talked with throughout the years expressed interest in BE fantasies.  That isn't really the same as the core interest of this web site, though.

doctorbo
doctorbo's picture

Good point DoubleIntegral about BODY inflation. I loves both BE and inflation at large, and I think breast expansion fetichism can definitely tap into inflation fetichism at large. I allow myself to pick some quote from the above mentionned Allegra Cole (who also sports rather sizeable butt implant BTW):

“People would notice, ‘oh you have nice breasts, they’re full, they’re lovely,’ but I was getting that boob greed a little bit. I wanted them to be fuller, bigger,” she says in this exclusive clip from Wednesday’s episode of Botched. (...)

“The doctor said he would comfortably put in 700 [cc’s]. When I got the second surgery and I woke up from that, I felt like an elephant was on my chest, and I — I’m getting giddy talking about it right now — loved it, but I still wasn’t as big as I wanted to be.”

“I found out about a doctor that did tissue expanders, where I could expand with saline and grow my implants,” she says. “I love being in control. And I love being in control of my own breast size. I was able to double the size to about 4,000 cc’s in about five months. I am at 4,600 cc’s … I actually have 20-plus lbs. of a weight vest on, but it’s the cutest weight vest you’ve ever had, I promise.”

Much of what we think is proof is likely just confirmation bias - it's a rather obvious "joke" and there seems to be less and less originality as of late.  But I have definitely seen and been shown instances where someone writes in or includes something about what turns them on - something that won't register with most people, otherwise.  One can find examples of such things going way back, so it would not be surprising that someone might work a little something in here or there. There is one person in particular that I think might definitely be, due to some recurring gags; there is one video posted in the video section and I remember another skit of his with the same theme that I watched live but have never found a capture of.

But, unless the person in question has direct control of (or at least a big say in) what gets produced, I think the much more likely scenario would be the writers/producers behind the work.

*dons aluminum foil hat*

Of course, it could always be a conspiracy....

Strongly agree.

Actors are paid to play roles, they do not choose them based on their fetishes. A few creators might be writing it from a place of fetish, but most people use this as a joke or a gag, not a sneaky way to secretly tell the world about their hidden desires.

This "anybody famous?" question keeps getting posed because people don't get the answer they want. If a famous person had this fetish, you'd never know it -- or you might be chatting with people who are famous, and you'd never know it. It's an unanswerable question.

FWIW, you do not need to find someone famous with this fetish to validate it.

doctorbo
doctorbo's picture

Depend on which creator; some like to bring up their fetishes up front and have work that celebrate it. Think of Quentin Tarantino's foot fetish or Russ Meyer fondness of big boobs. But case in point, most will keep it hidden.

And indeed I have absolutely no need of validation; I just love it. But of course it's fun to discuss it from time to time over like-minded friends ;)

Rosie O'Donnell used to mention the "bluebbery girl" a lot of times in the past and I mean several times; not that that means anything but I noticed it.

pongo

Roald Dahl incorporated inflations into a lot of his books.

If anyone has both this kink and internet access it's doubtful they haven't encountered this page.

(waves at celebrity inflationists)

I understand why famous celebrities with the fetish won't come out. If one did for example you get someone asking them to prove their identity

Roald Dahl! Something there especially! Maybe celebrities, dropping inflation into works or doing inflation scenes is a tip of the hat to us folks! No one else would pick up on it but we would haha!

J K Rowling perhaps?

JK Rowling and Ben Elton each featured single inflation sequences in their stories and these seemed to me simply mechanisms to move the story along, in the former by supplying a funny and humiliating comeuppance to a horrible character and in the latter an extreme example of vanity body modification.
With Roald Dahl the consistent presence of inflation and balloon floating motifs in his stories made me extremely uncomfortable when I read those books as a child, because they gave me boners at school, and led me to think he was an inflationist when I found out I wasn't alone in this kink, largely through the website efforts of Inflate123.

Berry-DukeAlt

I've yet to see all the inflation themed sightings in Roald Dahl's collection of stories, but it's peaked my curiosity. Also gotta find out what book Ben Elton made that had the inflation sighting on that too.

pongo

"This Other Eden" is the Ben Elton book in which a young movie star inflates her chest prior to having sex with the main character.
It's nothing dramatic compared to the stories on this site of the video clips now available on the topic but in a pre-internet era it turned my crank hard.

caffiene

Same.  Well, except for the boner part, but yeah.

...I meant that sarcastically.

Pass_The_Printa

J. K. ROWLING.

DEFINITELY J. K. ROWLING.

I read The Order of the Phoenix when I was, like, a pre-teen, and her metaphors seem really sus. In fact I used to sneak The Order of the Phoenix into my room when no one was looking, turn to some paragraphs and.....never mind.

vestrumtobias

I always thought certain celebrities had proverbially inflated heads. But inflation fetish, I don’t know! Curious to speculate.

TheVaughan

Another good one, JK Rowling, I forgot that sceen, I still think there must be some celebrities out there, especially those who have breast implants?

Always fun to speculate! There must be atleast one of us in hollywood!

Roald Dahl, maybe.  And I remain convinced that someone involved in the making of the 2005 CATCF movie - maybe as high up the chain as Tim Burton himself, or maybe just a prominent artist or animator - is one of us.  That entire scene simply borrows too many finer details from inflation fiction for me to think it's a coincidence.

I also kind of wonder about James Gunn, the director of Slither.  The hugely swollen Brenda scene was his idea and he insisted upon making her that huge despite the repeated objections from his staff.

You've also got the creators of Inspector Gadget, who inflated numerous times with "Go go, Gadget coat".

doctorbo
doctorbo's picture

Wasn't there a pregnancy / inflation scene in Tromeo and Juliett as well? If so, well, James Gunn could definitely be counted as an inflation fetischist...

Wren

I suspect Gunn learned about inflation fetish when he was working for Troma.  I remember they were requesting fan ideas around the time he was writing Tromeo and Juliett, and they were planning to use the fan ideas in the movie.  I remember submitting an inflation idea and I'm sure other people did, too.  The original Class of Nukem High belly expansion scenes are a classic and inflation/expansion fans saw this as an oportunity to get Troma to do another scene.  But it being Troma, they ended up doing something gross with the belly scene in Tromeo and Juliett.

I vaguely recall that he responded positively to whatever my idea was but I don't remember any details at all.  Troma was a small operation so I think it was literally him, the writer, responding to the requests.  If I had known he was going to end up becoming a big shot someday I would have paid more attention. :)

I've always thought of Slither as Gunn's tribute to Troma--it's basically what a Troma movie would look like if they had a big Hollywood budget.

doctorbo
doctorbo's picture

That may well be the case that you made him aware of the fetish; otherwise the good part is that inflating people can work as straight comedy, which provide most of the scene us fetischist came to love. And given Troma gross-out, cartoony over the top humor it can have been made both as it suit this tone... thinking of it, Lloyd Kaufman may be the one who have this fetish, or else just find it gross, whacko and funny...

I'm curious about the author Roald Dahl.

I think maybe he isn't as known around here. Googled him and other than Willy Wonka I only recognized Matilda and Giant Peach(which were adapted into movies), and I don't recall any inflations in these. If I google "Roald Dahl inflations" I don't get descriptions of any inflation scenes

Would someone be willing to briefly describe some of these inflation moments in his books?

pongo

"James and the Giant Peach" only mentions holding onto enough balloons and floating away (another kink of mine) but this actually happens to a character in "The Twits."
Grandma is inflated in "George's Marvellous Medicine."
The experience of shrinking is described as a balloon being twisted and its skin growing tighter in "The Witches."
It's been a long time since I read most of his stories but I'm sure there were more.  I remember many uncomfortable experiences but also the compulsion to return to the causal passages over and over.

pballooned

Thanks for your time Pongo :)

"...balloon being twisted and its skin growing tighter". What an unique and detailed way of describing a shrinking

I'm betting some of the Game Grumps are into it. Arin always, almost without fail, brings up the body inflation fetish when he see something that reminds him of it. It's always in a poking fun at them manner, but still why bring it up all the time if you're not into it. Ross has also brought it up a number of times and has also mentioned breast expansion too indirectly. Again in a light poking fun at them manner.

Possibly Benny Hill? Though, he probably just found it funny.

Would anyone "famous" ever really be here?

Fleetingsanity

Think the question is more so who famous out there have the kink. Not if there are any celebs hanging out here. Also totally Seth MacFarlane don't know how no one (myself included) has said him.

Dan Harmon came on my radar as a possible inflatophile in the years since TheVaughan first asked this question.
His output often features balloons and "Rick and Morty" features several brief but potent inflation moments.  They're usually fleeting and most lie outside the plotline, but there's a balloon floating element in the episode about the giant heads in the sky that's sustained and central to the plot and it aligns so closely with my main balloon kink that I take care of the circumstances in which I watch it.
Maybe balloons and inflation are just convenient sight gags.
Maybe Dan is reading this right now and turning beet red.
Hi Dan.
Love your work.

pongo

Loved season seven, episode one's helium inflation and floating gag, Dan.
Keep up the good work.

bacf2011

Where is that? Rick and Morty?

pongo

Yes.
Re-watching Rick and Morty from the start I'm seeing more and more inflation and floating scenarios.  Sometimes throwaway gags, sometimes plot points.

It really makes you wonder.  That's why I've always only been mostly joking about the "Conspiracy" theme.

TheVaughan

I remember when I first posted this question, I was specifically thinking about female celebrities who had augmented themselves either bigger breasts or butt, my thoughts were maybe they'd wanted to be bigger? Crave more fame? Theres some sort of link there inflation wise I guess...I dunno, thoughts?

LutherVKane
LutherVKane's picture

Nas X, he of Old Town Road fame, once tweeted a picture by High-On-Fairydust. Apparently he "thought it was a meme", but where do you draw the boundary of fetish when someone looks at a picture of Princess Peach drawn with a hugely expanded ass and just thinks, hey, that's cool.

I-Am-Betrayal
I-Am-Betrayal's picture

I mean, my major issue is that I don't know many celebrities, period. Especially not modern celebrities.

Honestly, it really depends on how far you want to take the word "famous." Because there are a few people I know who do that absolutely are seen as famous in my eyes, but at the same time are probably unknown to the "general public," as it were.

TheVaughan

I suppose us getting referred to as a meme could be deemed as making it in some way, I suppose my thinking is centered on celebrities having the means to augment themselves more, and whether any of them like the bigger asses, chests so on...as i said previously could you make a link between getting more famous with getting bigger in relation to inflation? Late night, caffeine fueled muses rn, I suppose we'll have to wait til inflation is an augmention option to know for sure...

Dojacat has also used a cheap inflation prop in one of her twitch streams? Again attention seeking most probably but who knows, where is the line between fetish and thinking somethings cool...

Joe_Monday

For most pop culture things, "Cool" starts out as "weird". If enough "normal" people start thinking the "weird" thing might be OK, it starts to become "cool". For a while, "cool" is OK to watch but still too out-there for normies until enough of them get daring enough to try whatever it is. And once that happens, the inevtable slide from "cool" to "fashionable/popular" begins. It's happened over and over again in fasion and pop culture.

There are planty of kinks and fetishes were considered strange and out-there (but secretly fascinating) culturally for a long time, but eventually become at least less-stigmatized, if not mainstreamed. (Victorians got all hot and bothered at the sight of women's ankles...) A lot of BDSM is well-known and mainstream now -- thanks in part to Fifty Shades of Gray and other depictions in popular culture. But it wasn't always that way.

If body inflation becomes more meme-worthy, then maybe it's on its way into popular imagination somehow.

Pass_The_Printa

Uh, duh!

There are a lot of Canadian celebrities!

Penner

I don't think Kristen Bell is into inflation per se. I do think it's really interesting that she's into shapewear, and that she was willing to retain milk to boost her figure for a movie. It gives me pause.
