can you give a single example of a story or piece of art where inflator is crucial, remove him/her and entire scene breaks down?
inflator of inflatees is such a useless creature, don't you think?

Off the top of my head, I would imagine the roll of an inflator is to inflate those that either wouldn't or couldn't inflate themselves for any number of reasons.

love the dialogues ^_^
inflatees love to inflate, they are eager to produce pleasant roundness. If someone gives the specs - great, if not - they'll inflate for themselves
inflators don't want to inflate themselves, but love to inflate others - so in the first dialogue you have two inflators. Inflators of inflators ^_^
in the second dialogue - yes! that's inflator of inflatees ^_^
however, may i point that in a world where inflatees are willing to inflate she'll only hear "thank you, I'm fine" (let's leave aside an issue whether inflatee will let anyone touch their pump ^_^ )
she's open and honest, transparency goes along with growth, but this state is not for long. She might pop herself, then she'll write journals detailing how each tatter feels. If she has skills she might evolve into a beautiful inflatee with time. If she has the spirit - she'll become inflator of inflators
