IRL meetups?

I'm curious, since I've been active in the community(read, coming and going for a good eight years) and have finally settled down on Deviantart- SkeletalBookeeper is where you'll find my stories- I've never really heard of folks meeting up in person over the fetish. Is this a thing that happens? Like, do folks ever message eachother, find out they live close by, and meet for coffee?

Or shoot, do any of us have spouses into this fetish? I know most of us love our anon status, but I'm truly curious.

Here in the PNW, it seems there are never folks into this sorta thing- at least the few humans I've gotten to know online seem to be localized literally across the country from me. So I am wondering if there are folks in the area, or if we're all just really good at hiding :)

I think I've heard some people doing meet-ups on DeviantArt, but they're very uncommon and from what I've heard the people who get together don't exactly live near each other. I've been on DeviantArt for quite awhile (I'm currently going by CarolusRises on DA) and I've only ever heard of two get togethers with one being in New York...which is a bit too far for me. ;3;

And on the subject of spouses being into inflation: psssh, I'd be lucky if I even had an irl friend who was into it, let alone a GF who was into it...or indeed a GF at all. T.T

There was a convention a little over a month ago called SizeCon for enthusiasts of size change. It was mostly for people into macro/micro, but they were definitely inclusive towards inflation enthusiasts. A few of us from this forum met up at the con; it was pretty great. :)

I was thinking about attending SizeCon 2018 if they have one.

So much so that I wish I was the guy on the right with the woman on the left that does the same thing. But I'm so painfully shy that I don't feel I can even approach a woman at all, much less find one that is into inflation as I am. And it does make me sad and lonely. A lot.

Currently living in PNW as well, but I doubt that PIB will ever happen for me. :(

I guess comparitively speaking I've been sorta lucky.

I started out with a husband in to this and that's what got me into it. Since then I've met two people from the internet FTF. One was absolutely terrible, like I'm glad I carry a gun sort of terrible. One was honestly pretty damn fun.

I have established I wll never, ever go to sizecon. Max is perfectly nice, but I've talked to some of the other people that went and a few of them genuinely scare me, like I'm glad I carry a gun sort of scared

Glad to hear the hubby's into this, please thank him for me- since you've been a lovely member of the community for many years :) I'm sorry someone was absolutely godawful, but I'm glad the other was fun! :)

I've told a few folks in my life IRL, and all have had varying degrees of acceptance; some are just "Eh, whatever." and others are actually curious about how the fetish works, what stories involve, and the mechanics behind various methods of inflation(in said stories). So I've been lucky that way, but neither has a one of them been single haha.

I've had a couple meet ups. One several years ago, but it was at the point we'd really become friends besides sharing a fetish and happened to be in the same city, so we met, it was fun, inflation was barely discussed. A second one a couple years back with a girl I had been RPing with. The build up to meeting was fun, the meet up itself was kinda awkward, as you might expect it to be, we talked a lot but held off in stuff too, or it became awkward if we tried to talk inflation in depth.

As far as meet ups. I went to SizeCon this year and it was a blast being able to talk to others about our interests and the community.

The number one rule is be fucking normal. Despite being surrounded by my kink I wasn't rocking boners or breathing heavy etc. I was actually pretty surprised by that. Probably because I didn't go to "get my rocks off" but to actually interact and learn and it went a long way. I'm not going to lie... what airtankgirl said was kind of true for some... okay maybe most. Not all though! Definitely everyone in Max's group was cool as hell like she said and particularly a couple other people I met.

Anyway tangents aside I'm in the New York Metro area. Surely there's a couple of us here. I know the size community has meet ups here but I'm down to be the organizer for a meetup here in Manhattan or wherever works for inflation in particular. Hell idc if it's only one person it's just cool to chat in person with people about this as long as you stick to the golden rule I mentioned earlier.

And for the love of proverbial god if you meet someone irl don't go in looking for a girlfriend or partner. Platonic is the word of the day.

But seriously though is anyone in the Tri-State down? I met three people a County away from me in Size-Con there has to be people. We can base it off the Reddit model and hang out at a bar or meet up at a park and drink or chill or play games anything. If anyone is serious let's get this ball rolling.

Lol yeah, being a real human being DOES help :) I'm glad some of us are more than just walking talking "SEX" billboards haha. Hope there are folks over there you can meet with- I'd sure be down with meetings a gal in the WA state area, if there are any lol. Platonic or not, whatever is good honestly- I've found from RP-ers and internet friends that just talking about all this is some of the most fun you can have with another human being.
