a major pain when posting inflation artwork

im sure there are others here who can think of one major pain when posting inflation art, but here's my drawing setup: my room. enough said. i can make as much artwork as i want, and i have the privacy to draw. my scanner, however is a different story. well, i only have 2 computers. one that my big sister keeps in her room, and then i have a desktop in my parent's room and thats where the scanner is. on top of that i have to share the computer with both my parents and my little sister. finally, on top of that. i occasionally get called to do something, parents and siblings can just walk in at random making art scanning and posting, well, suckish. i only have privacy every few minutes or so, and i get interrupted or booted off the computer altogether. i really dont want to drag this out any longer, so all thats left to say is sometimes, i dont have the privacy to post artwork often. does anyone here deal with the same thing or worse?

The solution may be age related, how old are you?

17 years old.

Okay kids, let's go over this one more time:

When you register for this site, there's a checkbox labeled "I am over 18 years of age". This is not a joke. If you announce that you're under 18, then I'll drop the Banhammer on you.

I have the same problem with other stuff, mainly uploading videos.  We keep the main PC in the living room because of concerns in the past about children's safety online, so i usually have to be sneaky, even though nowadays everyone knows about what i do.  So it doesn't go away when you grow up and leave home.  Then you become part of a new family and you have to keep on hiding stuff, chances are, even if you're partner's into it because there are still the children to think of.  There's probably some kind of golden age of early adulthood when you needn't, but even then there's the GF/BF embarrassment and "OMG, who is this weirdo i'm going out with?!" factor i presume, plus acquaintances finding out.  So sorry, this is just the reality of our situation and it's unlikely to get better just through getting older.

Incidentally, that's why my stuff on dA is sometimes taken by camera rather than scanned - it's faster.

If you are watching from the sidelines, berry-duke, it's nothing personal.  This is not some arbitrary rule somebody just came up with one day.  Legally, Kane has to do his best to keep underaged individuals out of members-only galaries and such.  We'll see you again next year.

Anyway, I feel your pain, kinda.  I'M CURRENTLY OF LEGAL AGE TO BE HERE (24 if you must ask), but I had to move back in with family recently.  Between jobs.  I have my own room and my own iPad, but it kinda feels wrong and awkward to be writing anything.  Doesn't matter too much, thankfully, since I use writing as a stress-reliever, and without a job I'm almost stressless.
