I've never really heard of anyone between the ages of 12 and 17 that has this fetish. Is it weird to be this age and have this fetish?

Sorry to say, yes too young, and very much a hazard to people 18 and over, whether they make known their correct age or not. All it takes is one underage person and a misunderstanding to shut everything down permanently.

many the people who are registred here are underage (including me, i'm 16), the "I am over 18 years of age" checkbox is only a checkbox for us, we can't be stopped from this, because, as you know, we felt this fetish since we were children, even if we weren't aware about it.

Well aside from the Banhammer dropping which is actually really fucking funny. I personally got into this stuff when I was in my early teens 13-14ish. That was over a decade ago so wooo for being a 10 year senior of the inflation community lol. However I was never stund enough to post that I was below 18 lol.

Hell, before I turned 18 I think IRC may have been the only truly interactive avenue for inflation folks. Things like DeviantArt, Yahoo Groups, and even this site's discussion forum came after that point in my life. Back then Luther's site was still pure HTML.
I was only a lurker until after I turned 18, but back then that was a lot easier to accomplish.

If someone is over 18 fine...but as for folks like the one admitting they were 16, don't be so light-hearted and flippant. You aren't the one at risk here. Everyone else is. You may get your ass handed to you by your parent(s), but we (legal adults) are actually at real legal risk. The moment you say, "yeah I checked the box, but I lied and I'm really underage,"...if we (the adults) turn a blind eye, WE ARE BREAKING THE LAW. Although the content covers a broad spectrum, the adult-related content of this site creates legal requirements. If you are underage and you admit it, the moderator is doing what is legally required, no questions asked, by banning that user. There is no interpretation, no leeway. This is to protect the interests of all of the users, not just the interests of some underage user who doesn't stand to lose anything in the process.

You dfinitly make a vaild point there and unfortunatly there's definitly more than just bellyboy there pulling this stunt. Hell I'm sure most of us have at some point we didn't really know any better. And most of the teens who pull this stunt I'm sure don't think about the legal reprecusions of their actions as they're teens. But you're right once one steps out like this the ban's gotta happen the disclaimer is there for a reason and needs to be adheared to.

I think people are focusing on the question of "is it okay for a 14 year old to post on this site?" -- to which the answer is, of course, no -- rather than the question of "is it normal for a 14 year old to have an inflation fetish?".
The answer, in my experience, is yes. It's my understanding that most fetishes manifest at a young age, since they're usually caused by childhood experiences. I have an inflation fetish because I grew up watching the old Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie, and I've had the fetish since before I was even old enough to understand what it was or meant. Some people recognize their fetishes later than others, but in general I think it mostly evolves from a childhood fascination.

Leaving the legal and moral questions aside, although of course they're very important, my impression from memory is that i had a whole load of nascent paraphilias as a pre-teen which gradually got honed down into the couple that survive, of which this is one. Therefore, in fact it's more likely, IMHO, that people in their early teens have this than when they become older, not because its infantile but because their sexuality has yet to settle into a more fixed adult form. Likewise, i had the more conventional BDSM stuff when i was younger, which is now absent, so more people would probably be into being tied up and whipped at that age than later as well, although of course that's much more common.
Back on the question of age, we do have to be extra careful i think, partly because, let's face it, Violet Beauregarde is a minor, and although we know it's not about her being a child, outsiders are unlikely to be sympathetic to our views or understand them.

I first felt this fetish when I was about 5 or 6... I don't really know to what extent it was sexual though as I had no frame of reference at that age, and only vague memories of it now. It was definitely an 'unusual feeling', and it was something I enjoyed while instinctively knowing that perhaps I shouldn't tell other people I enjoyed it, and while I certainly had a bit of a predilection towards girls at the time, and my feelings of attraction towards women were certainly similar to today, I don't know to what extent that was an actual sexuality. Kinda feels like it was, but who knows.
It kind of went away for lack of a solid sexual framework for it to exist within, and returned in a much more clear form when I was about 14. From then on inflatable women was definitely a fetish in the exact same way as it is today.
I discovered this site when I was sixteen, but back then there was no registration process and no banhammer ;)

Too young to feel it? Clearly not, as I think a lot of us here felt this urge at an early age. I was aware of the fetish way before puberty hit.
Too young to post here about it? Yes. While I had those funny feelings for ages, I didn't actually go exploring for others until I was older.
There are very real, very obvious threats to any community that knowingly discusses anything that can be construed as sexual issues with minors.
If you are sneaking in here under the common-sense age barrier, come back when your presence will not put everything at risk for either of us. We will be here when you are older.
Just knowing this site exists tells you all you need to know between now and then: It's not just you, and there are others who understand. Just chill a little longer before reaching out.
