DIY Stomach Inflation Suit?

I saw a thread in here about a DIY inflation suit, but that was an all-around one. Since I've been starting to look more into RL stuff, I found myself a little uneasy about phsycially inflating myself (in case something goes wrong), so I was thinking of making something instead. Does anyone have instructions for a suit strictly for stomach inflation? Or else could someone point me in the right direction?

Im trying to make my own, not buy one. I cant afford the true latex ones anyways :/

Get a beachball and a pump of some sort. Most beachballs are rather robust, in case you want to play rough.

Interesting. How would I keep it attatched to myself though? I wouldnt have any clothes that would fit im afraid :/

You could always wear the beach ball inside of a Belly Bra which isn't that expensive.  Hold the beach ball against you, measure around it, and then buy the appropriate size.

You don't have any baggy sweats? Your entire wardrobe is tight leather catsuits and form-fitting jeans? ;)

Still too expensive for me :/ I was thinking of using something like a stocking fabric to hold it in, but Im not sure how well it will hold.

There's a beer belly somewhere, much cheaper.  I'll see if i can find a link.  The idea is that you fill it with beer and drink from it, and it wraps round your abdomen.

Someone showed it to me, and it looks interesting. The issue I have with most preexisting ones is that they're never big enough. A beachball is a possiblity, but then I'm limited to the use of air (though I may consider getting one in the future until I can get a balloon). I have found a site where I can purchase larger balloons designed for advertising, and right now I'm looking at one with a 47 inch diameter. Only problem is that the FAQ section mentions something about having to spend a minimum of $50 (the balloon itself is only $14), so I might have to raise a bit of cash to be able to afford the purchase.

Beachballs as such are not good  i think.  We've used them in the past, for example under a leotard, but they're quite unconvincing because they give the clear impression of being completely outside the body as they approach sphericality.  This video:

shows me using a beachball and i find it utterly unconvincing.  The thing would be something that sort of wraps round and is somehow secured to the body in certain places.  I've tried binliners but can't get them to stick.  It's quite a difficult problem to solve, i think.

One thing you might be able to try, if you can do it, is uddiyana bandha - suck the stomach in by raising the diaphragm and stick an inflatable under the gap.  You need to be quite thin for it to work well.  Also, clothes tend to push against the air, making it a struggle to inflate.

Anyway, this is from my other, non-inflation related, channel, demonstrating uddiyana bandha:

I'm not all that skinny to make it work though >.<

Well, i don't know what you look like but my BMI has gone up since i were a lad and i could still do it.  The greater omentum gets in the way though, sadly.

Yeah. the other thing too is that I dont want to have to hold it in when doing the inflation. I want to stay relaxed.

Anyways when I get my project done I'll upload a video to show it off. I just bought the fabric today (overspent though >.<), and found a website that actually has a decent shipping charge (versus the $15 shipping everyone else had).

I put a yoga ball in the front of a one piece swimsuit.  It works really well.  The ball was on sale for $15 and I had the suit.

How heavy are yoga balls normally?

Hey whats up Tayva?

Holding it in - i was thinking about this yesterday.  If you inflated a ball to your normal belly size plus what's left when you do hold it in, then gradually relax, you get a quick inflation effect which you could then continue by inflating the ball normally.  In that case the relaxed condition is inflated and the "tensed" condition is deflated.

Alright, I figured that now would be a good time to update this thread:

I have successfully created a 'prototype' suit for inflation using a beachball, which seems to be in working order :)

The suit is more of a girdle: a ring of fabric fits onto the torso, and attatched to the front is just a 'sack' that holds the inflatable (in my case, a beach ball). The sack is closed off around the orbject except for the top, so that it can be inflated. Once I get a camera I would love to post some images. Since I have tons of fabric left over, I'm consisdering making a few more suits to sell to anyone interested, to see if I can make up for what I paid for the fabric ^^

Yoga balls work best(I know this is a long dead thread, but I thought I'd help). On top of that, they can be modified with a simple hot air plastic welder(can be bought for about $30 if you have the cash on hand), this is done to "flatten" the side that sits on your tummy, giving it a more natural, less spherical look. I'd offer a video but sadly, I'm insanely private about such matters, so you won't see me or my gear online. None the less, since yogaballs are cheap, come in various sizes from "normal" to"zOMG", and even small ones you could use as breasts, it's the best way to go.

Now, as for fabric. Save your pennies here. Don't go cheap. Buy a good one piece swimssuit, they're cheap anyway. The pricyier bits are unitards, which I've always found a nessicary evil for my roleplay. I like something that covers arms and legs, and doesn't let the material insisde show on the outside through leg or arm holes. I also pad the ball with blanklets, just to give it some extra shape and weight.

My entire setup cost me about $60. Most of that was unitards(coming in at about $25-40 each, a good thick Danskin or the line is a must, but a cheap one for shaping helps a lot, and can be had on ebay for as little as  $10).
