I have gathered some of the most popular inflation words in order to run a series of polls on people's favourite words.

Round one is words that mean 'to inflate'

This thread can also be used for people to suggest new or unusual words for the verb.

Next poll. adjectives meaning 'inflated'

EDIT: I did too many poll options. It's taking me a while to whittle them down. I had to lose rise, grow, billow, fill out/up, pressurise, plump(en), blimp and distend.

Fukureru-Shogun

I love the word bloat...apprently, Many agree.

Omoikane

All of them are great words, but I picked 'swell' cause its a swell thing to see. (Yes... a pun on words. ^_^; )

I went for balloon.

Though my first example of body inflation was Vilot from Willy Wonka, the first time I realized I truly loved inflation was Pook-chan from Sailor Moon. And she's a balloon lemur as you know.

Well the verbs round seems to be being won by the ubiquitous verb 'to balloon', but surprising how well 'to puff' or 'to puff up' has done... onwards to the next poll then... adjectives!

Surprised that pump didn't do better.

I happen to like swell. I guess to me it sounds much more grand...X3

Ex:

Mariah moves her slender hands across her stomach and feels her trim belly pushing out from under her touch. Her eyes widen as she looks down and sees her stomach swelling out rapidly while her hands continues to rub the growing belly.

See? :3

Never let those who dislike what you enjoy get to you. If they won't bother to understand than it's not worth your time. Hold your head up high and be proud for what you like!

Zepylin

I'd have to go with swell, myself. I just use it the most (probably) whenever I'm doing RPs, and I find the whole sound of the word (along with swollen, but as I said in the other topic I prefer bloated) to be very... Well, I dunno XP
