Inflation in video games

Hi all, I wanted to bring up this subject to talk about inflation in games.

I'm sure there are quite a few inflation moments throughout the history of gaming, but one that sticks in my mind from my childhood years is from the Crash Test Dummies game for the Sega Genesis/Super Nintendo.

I believe during the second or third level there was a red balloon thing that inflated you when you touched it.

Anyone tried this?

Just found this and I really wanna give it a go!

Its an inflatable ball where only your head sticks out - there are no arm or leg holes. Once inflated the victim has no way of getting out as the pressure of the air holds them inside.

Has anyone in here been been trapped inside one?

Hangers-on?

What's your opinion on inflation floatation in which another, uninflated person is hanging on for the ride? I've been a general fan for a while, but a recent story by HeliumGirl in the FloatsYourBoat Yahoo group particularly piqued my interest. I have one example pic here; does anyone know of any other pics or stories featuring this sort of trope?

Inflation in old Desperate Dan comic.

OK, I've been sitting on this sighting for some years now... but I had kind of forgotten about it.

My brother used to get the Dandy comic (I got Beano)... the main character in Dandy was Desperate Dan, a big 'gentle giant' cowboy who didn't know his own strength.

Sauce?

I stumbled upon this image earlier but, unfortunately, I haven't the slightest idea regarding what it could be from. Any ideas?

Why a blueberry?

OK, well obviously the immediate answer to that is it's what Roald Dahl chose, but why? If he'd decided to turn her into a tomato, would we all be thinking about that? I have to say i have something of a weakness for tomato costumes, and it could have gone that way for me. The gum turned into tomato soup before it became blueberry pie.

The other thing about it, for me, is that blueberries are actually quite small. I get that it needs to be something juicy, but watermelons are juicy, tomatoes are also soft and squishy, and so on.

Art Pilferage

Don't know if anybody realizes it or not, but our 'friends' at Latexcatfish have been pilfering copyrighted art. The link shows a page with some of my work. I noticed that they had used my drawings of a latex donkey suit from Fatassclub on Deviantart, but have since taken it down. They actually produced a suit based on that art...and it stinks. They completely missed the point.

To add injury to insult, they had been removing any logos and copyright info from the drawings and substituting it with their own. Noticed they sorta chilled out on that.

Three of the turtles get into some...big problems. Plus, Shredder is so funny on this clip, so just for laughs I think this vid may be somewhat interesting. Let me know.

Random newspaper headlines & body inflation references...

Gotta love those inflatables!

So how many everyday references that hint to 'body inflations' have you heard. What are your faves?

I remember years ago on Howard Stern's show he said to a busty stripper who flashed him... "Oh My God, they're BALLOONS!" (Pause) I like them !
