Heroine Appreciation Day

Karen Starr sat on her couch, looking at the small box that had arrived sometime last night. It didn’t have any name, just a label that said, “To Power Girl and Terra” Karen brushed some of her blond hair out of her eyes and sat back. It could be some kind of explosive, but she was invincible to most things, thanks to her powers. Terra could still be hurt by a bomb going off, so maybe it would be best to open it now. She grinned at this line of thought and tore open the wrapping, opening the box. She braced herself for an explosion, but nothing happened. “That rules out the low level villains…” She murmured to herself as she looked inside. The box had some white tissue paper, and two pieces of wrapped candy, with a card underneath. Pulling out a piece of candy and the card she read it, confused. The card just said, “In thanks for all you do!” with a smiley face next to it. Karen sniffed the candy, which had an odd fruity smell. She couldn’t smell any poison, and it wasn’t burning through her hand, so kryptonite was out. “I’m just being paranoid.” She thought, someone must make candy, and she or Terra must have saved them or something….That’s the only explanation that made any sense, killing them with normal gum would be rather hard. Karen laughed, “I suppose we could choke on it, but that’s leavening a lot to chance.” She looked up as the door swung open and Terra entered her short black hair slightly messy from the wind outside.

“Hi Karen! What’ve you got there?” Terra said in her bubbly happy way.

“Well, I’m not sure. It looks like gum, but there’s no label, no ‘From’ nothing. Just a card that said, ‘In thanks for all you do!’”

“Weird…have you tried it?”

“What? Of course not! Who knows what it could be, it could be poisoned, or something horrible could happen when we eat it.”

Terra rolled her eyes. “You are so paranoid! Come on, someone gave us a present, and it’s candy, not a bomb! Besides, you checked it right?”

Karen sighed. “Yes, I checked it out, and it seems fine. But still…”

“You worry too much Karen, come on, let’s try it.” Terra reached into the box and pulled out the other piece of gum, unwrapping it and looking at the soft bluish cube. “Smells fine…and I don’t feel any magic on it. Come on, get yours!”

Karen shrugged and unwrapped her gum, holding it in her hand.

“Ok,” Terra said, grinning. “Down the hatch!”

“You don’t swallow gum remember! Just chew it.”

Karen hesitated for a second as all the bad things that could happen rolled through her mind, but put the gum in her mouth and gave it a gentle chew. Her eyes widened as she felt a flood of flavor cover her tongue and flow down her throat. “Oh wow!” She said, chewing faster.

“I know!” Terra said, chewing with a smile on her face. “I told you everything would be fine.”

Karen almost let out a small moan as the flavor changed subtly, to a creamier taste. “It’s like blueberry pie and ice cream! Oh wow, we need to find out who sent this, it’s amazing!”

“I know!” Terra laughed and pointed at Karen. “You’re getting all messy, the juice is on your face.”

“Hmm? What do you mean?” Karen rubbed her face, looking at her hands.

“It’s still there, on your nose.”

Karen looked at Terra and raised an eyebrow. “It’s on your face as well…and…Um…” She looked closer and her eyes widened. “It looks like its spreading.” Karen spun to a mirror, and looked at her face. It was there on her face as well, a blue tint on her nose, and slowly spreading to her cheeks like some kind of flower. “What’s happen,” She was cut off as she inhaled to speak and the gum flew down her mouth where she gulped reflexively. She felt the gum slide down her throat. “Crap!” She turned back to Terra who was looking at Karen with a puzzled look on her face. “I swallowed it!”

“Are you not supposed to do that?” Terra said the blue spreading around her face.

“No! Why? Did you?”

“Well, yes, it is candy! You eat candy, right?”

“Not that kind!” Terra’s face was almost all blue, and it was starting to spread down her neck. Karen looked down at her low cut shirt and could see her long line of cleavage starting to get darker as the blueness spread.

“Karen? I don’t feel that well….”

“Well, of course! We’re turning blue!”

“No…my belly feels full.” Terra had her hands on her belly, which was slowly moving outwards, filling her hands. Karen reached downward and could feel her own belly swelling as well, slowly growing under her hands.

“It’s the gum, it has to be! It’s making us blue, and...Doing something to us, making us swell!” Karen could feel her belly pressing against her pants, the pressure slowly rising, but as it did, she felt the growth start to spread. Her hips suddenly started feeling warm and tight. She could see her lose pants start to get tighter around the hips as she grew. “Crap, its spreading! My hips are swelling!”

“And your chest.” Terra said, a slightly worried expression on her face as her belly grew, her shirt being lifted up by her swelling body.

“What?” Karen looked down and saw her chest was indeed bigger, noticeably so. She always had a big chest, but this was getting ridiculous. She could feel her shirt straining to hold them in, but they didn’t seem to be stopping. There was a popping sound, and Karen looked at Terra, who’s belly was straining against her tight pants finally beat the cloth and was starting to break free. Her thighs were tearing the stitching, a line of dark blue against her light pants as they broke free. Her belly finally tore her pants, her costume holding up, but anything made of normal cloth beginning to fail. Karen wasn’t doing any better. She could feel her thighs squeezing her pants, and could barely move her legs the pressure was getting so intense. With another pop, the button failed, and her pants being to tear like someone peeling a banana as her legs swelled out of her pants, breaking them off her body, leaving her costume and her strained shirt holding in her massive body.

“What are we going to do Karen? I’m not slowing down!” Panic was beginning to show in Terra’s voice as she swelled, her arms growing wider and bigger as she filled with juice. “I’m having trouble moving my arms and legs!”

“Just calm down Terra! We’ll be ok!” Karen’s voice betrayed her fears as well, it was getting hard to move, and if anything, she seemed to be swelling faster. There was another rip as her strained shirt began to tear, leaving her in just her costume, her massive blue cleavage displayed. It was getting harder and harder to move, Karen could just barely fold her arms, and she could only walk in a kind of stiff legged waddle. She kept on swelling though, and Terra was keeping up, if not getting bigger. Her body seemed to be almost absorbing her legs, she was getting so big. Karen could see her body start to swell downwards, her legs getting absorbed by her hips, even her arms were starting to get sucked in a bit. Karen could feel it happening to her as well. Her arms wouldn’t move at the shoulder, just bend at the elbow, and even that was getting hard. It was getting hard to stand as well, all her frontal weight was starting to tilt her over, her massive breasts and belly trying to pull her down. She kept growing though; nothing seemed able to stop her, as she swelled.

“Karen! Help me!” Terra said, her voice slightly changed from her body, lower now and speaking more slowly. “I can’t move anything now, just my hands!”

“I know, just be calm, we’ll get out of this!” Karen’s voice was different too; it seemed off coming out of her throat, lower and softer, almost sensual, if it wasn’t for the tremor of fear. Karen could feel her hands start to rest against her massive sides, feeling her warm body, as she felt her feet leave the ground and begin to slowly roll forward, her huge breasts gently rocking her forward, until with a thump, they hit the ground, massive blue breasts the size of beanbag chairs. Karen could feel her hands beginning to be sucked into her body, dimpling in her massive sides as she looked up at Terra.

The two of them were a sight. Terra was resting upright at least, her massive body straining her black costume, only her breasts, massive by any standard, but dwarfed by Karen’s huge set. Her body defied description, the only thing you could think to say was large. Large and blue, like a balloon, or a berry. Her hands and feet were sucked into her body, leaving little divots where her toes and fingers wiggled, trying to move. Her head was sticking out, but barely, her black hair brushing against her huge body. Her waist, or you would call it an equator now was still swelling, Karen could see it growing slowly as she swelled, gurgling noises coming from her body. Karen didn’t look any better. Resting on, for lack of a better term, her belly, her huge boobs were also against the floor, supporting her from hitting her head. Her long blonde hair was starting to get a bluish tint as it streamed down; she had to blow it out of her eyes. All she could do was wiggle her fingers in circles, and she could even feel her cheeks getting fatter. Even flying didn’t help her move, she remained as land-locked as ever, just swelling, feeling herself growing bigger and tighter.

“Karen, what are we going to do? I feel like I’m about to pop! I don’t want to explode!”

“I…I don’t know Terra! I feel myself getting bigger, I can’t move, and the pressure is getting higher!”

Terra sniffed and looked at Karen. “I don’t want to wait to explode…I just want to die when I want.”

“Terra! What’re you saying?”

“You know…Can you do me the biggest favor you can now? I want you to pop me…”

“I…I can’t!”

“Yes you can, I’m asking you, kill me, please! I can’t bear to just wait for it to happen! I want to be in control for the last part of my life, please, kill me Karen!”

Karen felt herself start to cry a little, “I…I agree with you Terra, I don’t want to just sit her getting bigger and bigger! I’ll never be able to do anything ever, even if I don’t pop! I want you to pop me, I can’t even move!”

Terra looked around and nodded. She closed her eyes in concentration, and Karen heard a cracking noise. “What was that?”

Karen opened her eyes. “Remember? I can move rock and earth…I just splintered part of the granite tabletop…I’ve a big shard right here…”

Karen nodded and closed her eyes. “Do it Terra, kill me, please!”

Terra nodded and with a flick of her head, the shard of rock flew down, and with a wet sound, Power Girl exploded. Her body flew apart, her head bursting with pressure, pieces bouncing against Terra’s huge body, some sticking and slowly trailing down. A blue eye bounced against her with a wet splattering, sticking to her huge body. Terra let out a cry and opened her eyes, seeing the scene of carnage in front of her. Nothing remained, save a few piece of blonde hair, and her uniform, still in one piece, and a pile of parts that she didn’t recognize, and one eye resting against the floor, almost looking up at her. Terra cried out again, and tore another shard from the tabletop, flinging it towards herself with as much force as she could. The shard pierced her body, and with another wet explosion, she was gone, in a mist of blue juice and parts, her body flying to pieces, coating the rest of the room in the blue juice that was inside her. The room was silent then, save the dripping of fluid from the ceiling, pooling on the floor, and the sounds of sticky parts falling off the walls.

In another part of the city, a man sat watching the scene of carnage, and let out a high pitched laugh. “That worked better than I hoped! Such a mess though!” He turned to a huge shape resting beside him and patted the side. “See Harley? Good thing the test gum you took was weak! I’d be scraping you off the walls!”

Harley Quinn let out a weak laugh, as she felt her body ripple as he patted her sides. “Sure was Mister J! Now what?”

“Well, now we know it works on them, we sit and wait for the next chance!” He let out another high pitched laugh and walked away, leaving Harley Quinn, looking like a massive red and black balloon, in the glow of the monitors.
