(For clarification purposes (and didn’t have the space in the polls), this is talking about your current status at the present time of writing this, or around a couple weeks or so.)

Alright everyone, time for another poll, and since it’s numero ten, It’s worth asking a big question, or at least kind of big since I used the main ones about eight polls ago. And since we’re all adults here (or should be), I’d like to tackle sexual things in the inflation community head on in this poll.

I think we all know that a fetish is an obsession with a certain object and/or act (in this case, inflation), but a few people might not realize that not all fetishes are sexual. So I’d like to ask the community what their stance is, where their body chemistry puts them.

As usual, I’ll kick this thing off.

I chose Sexual (medium). I chose this because the fetish is definitively sexual for me, and while it helps with sexual based acts, it’s not required for them.

(I’d like to state that for my own ethical reasons, I don’t view any pornography (inflation related or not), but I can guess with confidence that inflation related pornography would be much more arousing than regular pornography).

I do try to keep my fetish under control, and assuming if I let it be rampant, then it would be a much stronger part of my life.

(on that note, this is just me describing myself for the poll. I have absolutely no judgement towards others who think otherwise or act however they do. We’re all allies here with common grounds)

Alright, let’s keep this train moving! Let’s get interactive everyone!

I chose 'Other', because only in some cases I find it sexual. If I were to have someone watching or lending a hand in it, then it'd be mild. Same goes with writing: I'm only aroused depending on the writer and scenario, and even then its pretty hit and miss (it might only be one scene, or half of the story, etc etc). Also the acknowledgement of having any sexual ties to the 'obsession' has only been recent for myself: in the past few years, I've only come to hold such feelings within the past six months or so.

At this point I don't know what specifically I'm looking for to get that 'turn-on', but I know looking at realistic works (such as morphs) is more of a turn-off, as I prefer manga or cartoon imagery for inflation.

Lopni

Sexual (mild). Over the years inflation played different things for me.

During early childhood inflation wasn't sexual at all - just a funny game to play/imagine. During boring gloomy life as a single - inflation was filling my poor PC to the brim with tons of inflated porn. As they say - get married, free your hard drive ^_^ You know what? They're right ^_^

Now, during family life, inflation is a spice served mostly with sex (in broad terms, including innocent hugs). It is a yet another dimension for variety, this one - for variety of imagination.

I chose sexual medium, but there isn't really a need to clarify. You summed it up rather well for me at least. It's fun when combined with sex, but isn't required to enjoy sex.

I just want to add that I really do enjoy your polls ACG. It's fun to find out what everyone thinks, and compare how we're all different.

Just a little more. You can take it...I hope...

Thanks a lot BalloonInflator. I like getting people to talk and interact, but it means much much more when people thank you for taking the time to do these things.

I would go for.

Sexual (medium): It helps to think about or practice it with sexual activities, but isn't a necessity.

I love thinking about it and it definitly turns me on more but I don't need to something revolving inflation to get off or enjoy sex or anything. It just adds a little more fun to the equation so to speak.

Right now I would go with Sexual (medium). As fleetingsanity said thinking about it is a big turn on and always a little boost to whatever's going on but its not normally necessary to get off.

I have fallen into a few situations where I could probably label it Sexual (strong). Especially when watching "normal" (for lack of a better term) videos.

I don't know about anyone else, but sometimes I wish that our fetish was either more mainstream so we would have a more active stream of quality content coming in to view. Or I had a more popular fetish for both the content reasons as well as,being able to act out the fetishes in real life like people who are into the whole foot thing or BDSM.

Delacroix

I would say Sexual (medium) - never actually done anything fetish-related during sex or as part of foreplay, given my GF doesn't much care for it. And with noone to really talk to about it, it has to, at least for the time being, reside in my imagination and nowhere else.

Explain to me whats a non sexual fetish, especially when this is a sexual fetish. Also, your deifnitions of non sexual dont make sense. Whether you think about it a lot or a little, if it gets you off, its sexual.

If it invokes sexual feelings or desires, such as sex or masturbation and helps you to orgasm during those activities, then it's sexual. If you don't, then it just means you have an abnormal fixation on something. For instance, a stigmatophile is someone who has an extreme liking/obsession/fetish (all the same thing) for tattoos. They love tattoos much more than a normal person, and because it an obsession towards something it counts as a fetish. They generally might not feel sexual getting or seeing one, but perhaps really relaxed or estatic. Closer to some of us, klispmophilliacs (enema fetishists) may like the feeling of liquids entering inside of them and find them relaxing or exciting. Assuming it's non sexual, then they won't have a desire to masturbate to recieving an enema, but if they did, they would want to in that case.

TL;DR
If it invokes or motivates sexual activities when thinking or doing it, it's a sexual fetish. If they just have an obsession with it, without invoking or motivating the person to engage in sexual activities, then it's a non-sexual fetish.

Not everyone 'gets off' by it either. When I started a few years ago, it was a good feeling to have things expand against my body, but I never really found any of it arousing in the slightest. I knew that it was commonly thought to be a sexual fetish, but I just never got those same feelings as others got when they watched videos, looked at pictures, etc etc. Even with roleplay and looking at photos, they all gave me those same good feelings, but nothing really arousing (more like just stepping into a nice hot shower, which is the best I can think of right now).

I'll be honest, this poll is doing better than I expected. Thanks everyone for your input!
